Preparing Your Paper:
Submission of a paper to Egy J Urol implies that it is not being submitted for publication elsewhere. Original papers written in English should be submitted electronically through the journal website (https://eju.journals.ekb.eg/). A letter of submission should accompany all contributions, signed by all of the authors, providing assurance that: (1) all of the listed authors have participated actively in the study, (2) all of the authors have seen and approved submitted manuscript, and (3) the manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Manuscripts should be written in Times New Roman with font size 12 and double-spaced. Page numbers should be in the middle of the bottom of the page starting from the title page as number 1. Incomplete or improperly prepared manuscripts will be returned to the authors without review.
The title page should give the following information: (a) title of article (b) names and initials of authors (c) institution to which the work should be attributed. (d) 1-5 key words should be typed at the bottom of the page (e) name and full postal address, telephone, fax number and E. mail address, if available , of the author to whom the reviewers’ comments and requests for reprints should be sent (f) running title of 40 character. The title should be concise and clear and should not contain abbreviations.
Main text should include introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Reviews:
Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text (if appropriate to the subject of the review, the format should comprise the following: purpose of the review, recent findings, discussion, summary and key points); acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; table(s) and figure(s).
Editorials:
Case reports:
Should include a brief description of the case and a comment section discussing the salient features of the case in the context of the world literature. No abstract is required for case reports.
The text, not including references, must not exceed 1000 words. No more than 10 references are allowed.
Abbreviations:
The abbreviations must be defined when first used in both the abstract and the main text. Ensure consistency of abbreviations throughout the article.
References:
The author is responsible for the accuracy of his references. References should conform to the Vancouver style and should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they appear. They should be indicated in Arabic numerals in parentheses. Only the first six authors should be listed. If there are more than six then the first three should be listed followed by et al. note that journal titles are abbreviated in accordance with Index Medicus and that issue numbers are not included.
